Monitoring of exploitable groundwater reserves and groundwater abstraction

Monitoring of exploitable groundwater reserves and groundwater abstraction is essentially the implementation of regime monitoring at groundwater abstraction sites.

Under a special subsoil use permit, specific conditions require the execution of regime monitoring of the water intake and the mandatory submission of data to the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine.

During regime monitoring, control is carried out over the volume of water abstraction, the chemical status of groundwater and its levels, the preservation of water quality, and the estimated operational lifetime of the water intake system.
